This violin has an exceptionally beautiful sound, with a clear and resonant voice which has matured as the violin has aged. Beautiful tonewoods shape the identity of this instrument, which has been carefully restored by Phil Whitehead and we offer it to you in superb condition. Photos available on request.

Thomas Powell established independently at 18 St. Clements Lane in London from 1770 onwards. He moved to 9 Paradise Row, Hammersmith circa 1794 and to St John's Square 1800. He produced fine work in the ‘Forster’ style, and his instruments are much loved.
